Whilst the blog might’ve stopped for the winter , the Arancionero certainly didn’t so here it is ,making a comeback, the weekly ride update!
Saturday 3rd.
First one of the year , only 50 Wizard rides until the Fancy Dress Special!! Count ’em down Wheelers , count ’em down!! Steady 60 mile round trip from Moughland Lane @ 08:30 to The Wizard at Alderley Edge. Ideal fat burner for shifting those Christmas calories but also to start to lay down those important steady miles to get you set for the season. Racing starts in March…

Forecast temperatures of zero for 9am so main roads to start off with. Looking to head out towards Barrow, Saighton and across to Tattenhall before elevenses in Tilly Tea Room at Bunbury. Back via the lanes through to Eaton. No major climbs but some lumpy rolling roads in there to get your pulse up a bit. If things look grim we may well take a deviation and do a main road run to the Mills.
Race and Ride captains will be announced by Club Secretary Mr Matt Steadman this weekend so eyes peeled!
As we progress through January and the racing folk start to get more competitive , we will probably need to revert back to split A and B rides as the A rides may well start to involve race coaching for pacing , time trialling etc. When this happens , the relevant rides will be listed separately.
