Northern Hillbeast Ride to Croston

What a great ride today!

The foray North proved a success with unbroken sunshine until arriving back at Eccleston Park.

But Nathan Morgan-Astle insisted his gentle skin did not require sun tan lotion and instead layered up for Winter before narrowly avoiding heatstroke. Dianne Turner proved the adage ‘A fast Wizard and a tough Sunday A is not a good combination’ and suffered with cramp in body parts we didn’t know existed.

The wind blew strong and the Belmont ascent was super tough but the Tockholes detour proved even more scenic than hoped and the group opted for a pub lunch rather than a traditional cafe stop. Well the Cavendish Arms in Brindle did not disappoint.

Nathan ate for a small army and we headed home via more hills, shops for copious amounts of liquid. Thanks Brigid Wilde, Dianne Turner and Nathan Morgan Astle.

Cheers
Marco
