Yeeehahhhh! Finally a night of light winds. This night was going to be full of promise!
RCC took the night 35pts to 20 with RCC’s Rob Green taking first place with a 22:33. Independent Ed Calow took second with 23:07 and RCC’s Jonny Okell 3rd with 23:25.
RCC’s Stewart Jones put in the performance of the night by taking just over 2 mins off his previous PB with a fine 28:43.
Wheeler’s Kevin Sales, also put in a great shift by taking nearly 1min 30secs off his previous PB. A fine run Mr Sales, take a bow sir.
Other PB’s on the night came in from Jonny Okell, Paul Cheers, Dean Smith, and Ray Threlfall. Not bad for Ray given all the recent sleepless nights after the recent new arrival in the family. RCC’s Jess McCann was the fastest lady on the night. Slightly off last weeks PB pace but still a superb time.
Wheeler’s Al Orme and RCC’s Paul Cheers were locked in a little game of cat and mouse out on the course, constantly taking and re-taking each other while jostling for position on their respective laps. We’re looking forward to seeing the camera footage of this when it’s available.
We’re looking forward to heading into Round 11 next week with just 3 more rounds of the Inter-club competition to go.
Thanks to all the volunteer who help make the weekly events happen, many of whom were drafted last minute this week.
All riders welcome, whether club members or not 🙂
The Hatton 10 Time Trials is an open event for all to come along and try every Thursday evening during the summer. The last event of the season is Thursday 31st August. There are some lovely fast sections on the course while being a technical course with 3 right angle turns which you have to navigate twice. Come along and give the Hatton 10 D36 course a go. £4 for non RCC / Wheelers members, and £3 for members. Sign-on before 6.45pm, first rider off at 7.01pm, stay inside the white lines and we have a no-helmet no-ride policy.
See y’all next week.
