So near…
Fresh from last weeks Eddie Soens Road Race, 2014 club road race champion Barry James and team mate Aidan Warder hit the road again at Pimbo for the Duncan Sparrow Road race, promoted by St Helens CRC.
No breaks managed to get away and it all came down to a bunch sprint after 50 miles. Despite being boxed in, Barry managed to wriggle through for a hard fought 4th place, just half a length off the podium places.
Continuing his fine recovery from a broken wrist, Aidan was well up in the bunch as they crossed the line en masse.
A fine season of road racing beckon – Forza Frodsham
