It seems a bit monotonous to begin the post with “The weather looks a bit rubbish” again but forecasts can be wrong so here’s hoping…..

Legs & Lungs to The Wizard.
Meeting at Moughland lights at 08:30 and steady out to the Wizard via the usual lanes. Can’t see there being much of a turnout given the forecast so watch the Facebook page and keep in touch.

I’ll be taking a B group out regardless of the weather as this will be my last run for 3 weekends as I’m off on holiday so hell or high water I’ll be out. If it’s nice, a loop through towards Delamere – Saighton- Peckforton-Beeston and on to the newly reopened Cocker House (formerly the Lock Gate) Café at the bottom of Beeston.If it rains we’ll not be stopping but either way there’ll be a run. Steady pace, couple of climbs , nothing epic , around 45-50 miles.
As there’s a lot of off roaders have crossed over and are riding road with us , Dan is running the Flintshire Challenge route next weekend. It’s an all dayer , if 50ish miles , its got climbs , descents, road, grass , gravel, mountains, firetracks , bit of everything. Definitely a recommended day out. Let you off roaders show us how it’s done! Rucksack full of butties, drinks will be needed.
I’ll be away weekends 9th, 16,th and 23rd August so if anyone wants to take over the B group for a while , the floor’s yours.
