Another fine weekend of weather forecast people get your kit on!!
Saturday 20th.
The Wizard- You know the drill. Moughland Lane , 8:30 start , flat steady and sociable until Artists lane when the racing genes kick in to establish who gets the best seats in the café. Steady ride home. 60 miles , all welcome.
Sunday.
I’m not out this weekend so Dean is deputising. He’s planning a run north so NO SHOP PICKUP this Sunday. Leaving Moughland lights at 8:30 , and heading off through Widnes. Rufford Marina is the destination with the old classic of Ashurst Beacon sure to figure on the route somewhere….
Remember all it’s the social season now. Racing is over so miles are steady state now. Anyone who’s thinking of racing next year (Gary ,Rob, Barry, Justin, Nathan , Diane, …… you know you should!!) this is when the training starts. Good steady miles, regular rides and no going flat out. Keep it steady and take your turns on the front. Build your fitness now and then post Christmas, start to introduce some speed, get onto the chain gangs. Until Christmas , keep it steady and regular.
Sunday 28th I will be attending the AGM of the District Time Trials Association. This is to start the process of organising 2 events next year. We’re looking to promote a hilly 22 mile time trial (both solo and 2 up) at Broxton and a 10 mile time trial at Rainford next season. It’d be great to see some Racing Stripes out there representing the Arancionero.
Forza Frodsham!!
